Dr Sandra brings with her to the practice, extensive post-graduate experience in various aspects of medicine with special interests in Emergency Medicine, Women’s Health and Family.
She also works part-time at the Emergency Department at Calvary Hospital to keep her interest and skills up to date.
Dr Sandra is well loved and has patients regularly following her between the two practices she works at.
She is available for consultations on Thursdays and Fridays and willingly accepts new patients.
Dr Balaji has owned and run Dickson General Practice since October 2016. A popular doctor among patients here at the practice, he has over 15 years of post-graduate experience working in India, the UK, Russia and Australia.
Dr Balaji is passionate about providing holistic healthcare with clinical excellence to people of all backgrounds.
He has special interest in the following areas:
· Child Health: Over 5 years of training and working in Paediatrics and the Canberra Hospital and the Westmead Children’s Hospital.
· Skin Lesions and Cancers: Skin checks and diagnosing as well as extraction of skin lesions.
· Minor Surgeries: Including removal of skin cancers, wounds and more.
· Mental Health: Provide ongoing support and advice as well as keep track of your health as well as referring to other mental health professionals.
Dr Balaji also speaks three languages (Russian, Hindi and Telegu) and enjoys spending time with his family.
Iris is an Accredited Practising Dietician working out of Dickson General Practice. She completed a Graduate Diploma in Nutritional Science and a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics at University of Canberra. She also obtained a Bachelor in Clinical Medicine in China prior to studying in Australia.Iris is passionate about assisting clients in understanding complex conditions in a simple way and developing management plans for chronic conditions whilst also encouraging health dietary and lifestyle changes. Iris is bilingual and speaks Mandarin. She believes working as a dietician is a way for her to serve others and fulfils a life of purpose.
Sharyn is an empathetic and extremely caring nurse who has been practicing for 10 years with a background in orthopaedics, aged care, high dependancy and surgical units.
She is a valued and well-loved member of our team who provides a high level of care and education for all patients.
Her role includes health screening and management of illness and chronic conditions, immunisation and health checks.
She also has a special interest in wound care and aged care, often visiting patients outside the practice.
Sharyn welcomes every patient with smile and takes great pride in providing the best quality of care to all patients.
Dr Vinay is a GP Registrar who comes to us with 10 years experience working at both Canberra and Calvary hospitals in Canberra. He graduated from NTR University Health Sciences in India in 2002 and made his way to Australia in 2006 where he lived in Tasmania for a year. He then made his way to Canberra where he worked in The Canberra Hospital for two years before he transferred to Calvary Emergency Department for the next 7 years.
He has special interest in the following areas:
Dr Vinay is bilingual speaking, Hindi and Telegu alongside English. He enjoys having a laugh with colleagues and is the joker of the practice.
